“Delicate, yet Strong”
Over the several years that Rome and other cities across Italy rose to gain the names that people revere and worship today for its architectural genius, I’m sure no architect, king, or normal citizen would have ever defined the massive stone and brick edifices as delicate. They were built to stand the test of time! But today time reveals that it is, in fact, the toughest test. What was once so strong stands now as “le rovine” – the ruins. People from all around the world go to see the delicacy of what remains of a what was once the world’s strongest empire. Here are “le rovine delicati” – the delicate ruins – through my eyes.
