Thanks-Giving Square

Thanksgiving Square

“In the center of downtown Dallas, there is one place where you can stand still and still be moved.”

While downtown Dallas buzzes from the continuous busyness of the bees that are humans, a particular plot of triangular land remains serene in the midst of it all.  It is Thanks-Giving Square.  The original idea behind Thanks-Giving Square, which it remains true to today, is to provide a place where all humans could come to live and give thanks – no matter their race, religion, creed.  Read more about Thanks-Giving Square’s history, and let the photos entice you to take.  The tranquility of this area is more than can be understood from mere pictures.

Meet the Good Folk

Ms. Patricia greeted me when I entered the Chapel’s first floor, the History-Exhibits hall, and she was as sweet as pie!  She told me some of the site’s history, we somehow got on the subject of how our hair behaves in the rain, and then she agreed to pose for this lovely photo.

You know the drill… Thrifted shirt and shoes, and aztec print leggings from my favorite local shop in Fayetteville, AR.
