Warby Parker Frames | Spring 2014

So..  I’ve had the same pair of glasses, with the same prescription… for [an undisclosed amount of time].  Obviously, it is time for something new.  And for that very reason I am so glad to have heard from Warby Parker about their new Spring 2014 collection – it is “For every frame of mind.”

Warby Parker Spring 2014 collection has several looks to choose from, to fit any style you like!

The Warby Parker Spring 2014 collection has several looks to choose from to compliment your style.

I’ve been really digging the old-school frames lately; Malcom X style to be exact.

Warby Parker’s collection embodies the old spirit that I like, yet it is still modern, with their handcrafted “classic vintage-inspired shapes.”  Whether it is shades or glasses, they are all very fashion-forward; or fashionably-late, as I like to say!  All of my family and friends that fit into the “hipster” category will be glad to see this post.  My sister has already asked for the website because she fell in love with the first pair of glasses I showed her!  But this isn’t just a hipster collection.  It is very professional, classy, and even a little playful!

I took the liberty of “trying on” some of my favorite frames.  Photoshop fun.

Warby Parker actually offers a Home Try-On program.  They will send you 5 pairs of frames and you will have 5 days to test drive those spectacles!  How awesome is that?

But we haven’t even reached the best part.  I did my research, y’all.  This isn’t some fru-fru company all about the big bucks and trying to sell expensive frames to the in-crowd.  Warby Parker says they were “founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.”

Yessss. The rebellious spirit in me sees the rebellious spirit in you. I approve.

Lastly, I was raised to to live a life of service.  In the words of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “Everybody can be great… Because anybody can serve.”  Warby Parker, along with VisionSpring, is on a “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” mission.  This means that when you purchase a pair of glasses, another human in the world who is unable to afford glasses that they need will be given a pair.  So often as Americans we don’t realize how something that we can access so easily, such as glasses, can be a life-changing factor for someone who doesn’t live the lives that we do.  A pair of glasses can help a young child see in school, and therefore receive a better education; or it can help an adult see to work so that they can provide money for their family.

The Warby Parker rundown, according to Old World New Girl:

1. Handcrafted frames

2. Vintage inspired styles (you know this Old World loving gal loves that!)

3. Rebellious spirit

4. They DO GOOD by giving back

5. Awesomeness.

Check out the Warby Parker Spring 2014 collection!  Which frames do you like the most?  The possibilities for classy spectacles are amazing.  Also, they offer a monocle.  How dope is that?!

Until next time, Ci Vediamo!!!
